What to follow
Here's a small excerpt of what I follow to keep up to date with PHP and related technologies. I will add more soon, but these are great resources for keeping up to date with PHP and related technologies.
Newsletters
PHP AnnotatedPHP Annotated Monthly is an excellent monthly digest of PHP news, articles, and videos released from JetBrains (the creators of PhpStorm). If you want to keep up to date, even a few minutes going through the monthly newsletter will give you a better feel for what's happening in the PHP world.
Courses
SymfonyCastsSymfonyCasts is a great resource for learning Symfony and PHP. They have a lot of free content and a lot of paid content. For Symfony-related stuff, if you need a bit more handholding than the official Symfony website can offer, this is the place for it. It has the transcription of the videos including the discussed code, so you can choose whether you want to watch the video or maybe you know the topic well and just want to skim through the code.
LaracastsLaracasts is great for Laravel stuff, but they go very wide in their coverage of topics. The production quality is excellent. They have a lot of fresh content, covering new topics, such as AI, htmx, Svelte, Alpine.js. Some of it is free, some of it paid.
